2008 Tour Update

Greetings to all anglers!
As we put the finishing touches on plans for the 2008 Silverado Pro-Am Bass Tour, I am more excited than ever about the bright future for this tour.
I want to update you on the three most timely and important items for next year, namely, registrations, major tour upgrades and projected tour dates and lakes.
For the record, thank you to all the 2007 anglers who candidly filled out our year-end survey. Your feedback was meaningful and many items will be reflected in 2008 tour improvements.
Here’s what you need to know now:
Registrations:
• A 2008 Silverado Pro-Am Bass Tour registration form can be downloaded from this site. Please read it carefully, fill it out completely and follow all instructions exactly for your opportunity to participate in 2008.
• 2007 anglers maintain preferred registration status only when:
- You completely fill out and follow all instructions exactly on the registration form.
- The registration form and down payment is received (postmarked) no later than January 12, 2008.
- Final payments and required documentation are received (postmarked) no later than March 31, 2008.
- After January 12, 2008, all registrations and deposits received from 2007 anglers will be handled in the same manner as any angler wait-listed and based on availability.
• 2008 anglers new to the tour will be handled “first-come first serve” based on the number of positions open and the date their completed registration form and down payments are received or postmarked.
• All final payments and required documentation must be received (postmarked) no later than March 31, 2008. Please remember, anglers forfeit down payments if full payments and required documentation are not received by March 31, 2008. Any remaining wait-listed anglers will be added on a first-come, first serve basis at this time.
• If you have questions, call or email me at the contact information listed at the end of this update.
Major Tour Upgrades:
• The top 12 professional and amateur anglers for each event will now qualify for prize awards, along with the 20th and 35th finishers and the Big Bass. Angler of the Year will also receive a prize award.
• The Tournament of Champions will expand to 20 boats, including:
Each event professional and amateur winner (8 anglers).
Four wild card winners (8 anglers).
The top 12 overall professional and amateur anglers after four events, minus any duplicate event or wild card winners (24 anglers).
• Based on angler demand, we are increasing the field from 49 boats to 59 boats. This addresses the rapidly expanding waiting list of anglers wanting to participate, but maintains the overall scale of the tour.
• The 2008 payout will increase to over $200,000 in cash and prizes, continuing our commitment to 100% + angler fee payback.
