Re:                  2010 Tour Update

Greetings to all anglers!
As we finalize plans the 2010 Silverado Pro-Am Bass Tour, here's an update on the most timely and important items for all anglers:

  • Registration:
    • A 2010 Silverado Pro-Am Bass Tour registration form can be downloaded here: 2010 Angler Registration Form. Readthe form carefully, fill it out completely and follow all instructions exactly for your opportunity to participate in 2010.
    • 2009 anglers maintain preferred 2010 registration status only when:
      • They completely fill out and follow all instructions exactly on the registration form.
      • The registration form and down payment is received (postmarked) by the Tour no later than February 13, 2010.
      • Final payments and required documentation are received (postmarked) no later than March 27, 2010.
    • After February 13, 2010, all registrations and deposits received from 2009 anglers will be handled in the same manner as any angler wait-listed and based on availability.
    • 2010 anglers new to the tour will be handled “first-come first serve” based on the number of positions open and the receipt (postmark date) on their completed registration form and down payment.
    • All final payments and required documentation, including (Pro Angler) proof of insurance must be received (postmarked) no later than March 27, 2010. Please remember, anglers forfeit down payments if full payments and required documentation are not received by March 27, 2010. Any remaining wait-listed anglers will be added on a first-come, first serve basis at this time.
    • A specific date, time and location for an All Angler Meeting for a Saturday morning in early April 2010 will be announced soon. Your attendance at this one meeting eliminates the need for a meeting prior to each event.
    • If you have questions, contact me at 612-747-4337 (Wireless) or at hildefish@aol.com (Email).
  • 2010 Tour Features:
    • The top 12 professional and amateur anglers for each event will qualify for prize awards, along with the 20th and 35th finishers (must be present) and the Big Bass. Angler of the Year will also receive a prize award.
    • The Tournament of Champions will include 20 boats, including:
      • Each event professional and amateur winner (8 anglers).
      • Two wild card winners (4 anglers-2 Pros and 2 Ams).
    • The top 14 overall professional and amateur anglers after four events, minus any duplicate event or wild card winners (24 anglers).
    • The field will be capped at 50 boats.  This allows the Tour to continue to be the most prestigious circuit including the elite anglers in the upper Midwest.
    • While the 2010 payout schedule will be similar to previous years, due to economic conditions and pending status of returning and new partners/sponsors, angler fee payback will be 85%.  Any help you can provide finding new sponsors is appreciated.
    • The Pro and Am Tour Angler of the Year based on overall points earned will receive a trophy, a cash award and be the #1 boat out in the Tournament of Champions event.

YMCA Partnership and Kids Fishing Event:

    • We are again partnering with the YMCA to help more young boys and girls enjoy the outdoors and a special fishing experience. Complete details will be released in April.
    • We fully expect all 2010 Pro and Am anglers to have an active role in a one-day YMCA event, with a date to be announced in April. The YMCA has received the cooperation of  FOX 9 TV  for promotional support and television coverage.
  • 2010 Projected Tour Calendar and Lakes:
  • Saturday, February13, 2010 receipt (postmarked) deadline for 2009 anglers to maintain 2010 registration priority.
  • Saturday, March 27, 2010, receipt (postmarked) deadline for final payments and required documentation.
  • Saturday, early April 2010, Angler Meeting, date, time and location, TBD.
  • Saturday, June 12, Alexandria Chain of Lakes, Arrowwood Resort.
  • June 2010, YMCA Kids Event, Lake, Location, Date and Time, TBD.
  • Saturday, July 24, Lake Minnewaska, Waters Edge, Starbuck, MN.
  • Saturday, August 21, Green Lake, Melvin’s on the Lake, Spicer, MN.
  • Saturday, September 11, Horseshoe Chain of Lakes, Cold Spring, MN.
  • Saturday, September 18, Tournament of Champions and Sponsor Tournament, Lake, Minnetonka, Maynard's, Excelsior, MN.

On behalf of everyone involved with the Silverado Pro-Am Bass Tour, thanks for your support and positive outlook. As in life, the Silverado is what each angler makes it.  Win, lose or draw, we all get a chance to compete and become better anglers while enjoying the great gift of the outdoors!
